What is InternOSU?

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is this a paid internship?
Yes, the InternOSU program offers paid internships. The specific compensation may vary depending on the department hosting the internship, but every student in the program will be paid at least $14/hour for up to 15 hours per week.
- Do I have to be of a certain classification level to participate?
While the program is open to students of all classifications, some departments may prefer upperclassmen who have more advanced skills and coursework. Additionally, since this program lasts for a full school year, students graduating in December are not eligible for these positions unless otherwise agreed upon by the department.
- Do I have to be at the Stillwater campus to participate?
Yes, most internships are based on the Stillwater campusand community.
- Does this program provide graduate assistantship funding to graduate students?
No, graduate students who apply for and accept an internship position with the program are not eligible to receivean assistantship or work inanother assistantship.
- Can international students participate in the program?
Yes, we encourage international students to apply for any positions related to their career goals, though they should ensure they are compliant with any work authorization requirements related to their visa status.
- Can I work another on-campus job in addition to this internship program?
No, labor laws restrict students to 20 hours per week for on-campus employment. However, you are still permitted to work off campus if additional funding is needed.
