Employer Tabling Policy
Tabling on campus is intended to serve as an opportunity for education, outreach and community engagement, not as a space for recruitment or candidate solicitation.
To ensure an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students, the following guidelines apply:
- No resume collection or job applications
- Tabling may not be used to collect resumes, conduct interviews or solicit applications for internships, jobs or volunteer positions.
- No direct or indirect recruitment
- Tabling efforts should focus on sharing information, raising awareness or offering resources. Efforts to recruit students should be non-coercive and must not be the primary purpose of the tabling activity.
- No hiring or vetting activities
- Tabling is not a substitute for a career fair, information session or official recruiting event. Any activities involving the vetting or selection of individuals must occur through proper, pre-approved channels.
- Transparency of intentions
- Tabling groups must clearly state the purpose of their presence in their reservation request and signage. Misrepresenting a tabling event as informational while engaging in recruitment may result in loss of tabling privileges.
- Compliance with campus policy
- All tabling activities must abide by university guidelines regarding student engagement, privacy and proper use of space. Recruitment related activities may require additional approval and should be coordinated with OSU Career Services.
